What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is an artificial root instead of the natural root that was lost because of losing the tooth. The Dentist inserts a small anchor made of titanium into the jaw bone to take the place of the missing tooth root. They are safe and medically approved.
After the osseointegration (when the surrounding bone has healed and bone accumulated around the implant), an abutment is secured to the top of the implant. After that attachment is added to the inside of the denture, they will allow the denture to snap on the abutment when the denture is inserted into the mouth.

Why Should I Get Dental Implants?

Implants are ideal because they offer superior support and stability for dentures. Implants hold the dentures securely in place and prevent them from shifting or moving around. Therefore, they are much more comfortable to wear and won’t cause irritation because implant restorations look and feel more like natural teeth. On the other side, conventional dentures rely on your gum tissue to stay in place.

Advantages of Dental Implants

While removable dentures remain the most popular method to restore missing teeth, they do have a number of downsides, like becoming loose, losing their shape and fitting poorly overtime.

In comparison, dental implants are made of titanium steel which makes them durable, stable, and strong. The implants anchor the replacement teeth in place and allow you to speak and eat with complete confidence. Implants offer a variety of benefits including:
